I went out to the garden when we arrived here in Virginia and saw these little yellow vegetables. We were not sure what they were until we picked one, cut it open and ate it. It was a cucumber. Apparently these little yellow round cucumbers are more mild than their larger green cousins but make pickles just as well. So that is what I am doing today- making bread and butter pickles. This is the basket I brought back in this morning (it’s all lemon cucumbers except for a few cherry tomatoes). I think it’s a pretty beautiful harvest.
