When we moved to Houston, our garden took a break. We did not fully appreciate the differences between Houston’s growing seasons and New York’s. But we tried and got a few basil leaves and cherry tomatoes to grow. But this year, Josh took up all sorts of gardening- water gardening, rose gardening and vegetable gardening. I am so proud of his gardening skills. We have eaten only homegrown lettuce for the past three weeks and so far we have eaten several delicious carrots. It is so rewarding to work on a garden and dig down to find a bright orange carrot like Forest and I did on Sunday. Still to come? Tomatoes, strawberries, peppers, beans, beets and rhubarb. Stay tuned.
